[Drug Discovery Center] Change in Reservation Calendar for Shared Instruments/Equipment in Room 401a (Starting from October 1, 2025)
This notice is intended for those who are currently using shared research instruments/equipment provided by Drug Discovery Center during the 2025 fiscal year.
Change in Reservation Calendar for Shared Instruments/Equipment in Room 401a, Building of Faculty of Medicine Center for Anatomical Studies
Drug Discovery Center currently manages shared instruments/equipment in the following three rooms:
1. Room 504, 5th Floor, Med-Pharm Collaboration Building
2. Room 306, 3rd Floor, Med-Pharm Collaboration Building
3. Room 401a, 4th Floor, the Building for Faculty of Medicine Center for Anatomical Studies
Starting from October 1, 2025, the management of shared research instruments/equipment located in Room 401a will be transferred to the Genetic Analysis Division. In line with this change, the calendar used for reserving equipment in Room 401a will be switched to new ones. (The reservation procedure itself remains unchanged.)
Affected Users and Required Actions
Users who are currently using the instruments in Room 401a, as well as those who plan to use them between now and September 30, will see a new menu titled “Research Equipment (Genetic Analysis Div./Med)” added to their KUMaCo My Portal. For reservations of instruments/equipment in Room 401a on or after October 1, please follow the steps below to add the reservation calendar:
1. Log in to KUMaCo My Portal
2. Select the menu “Shared Instruments (Research Equipment (Genetic Analysis Div./Med)” and submit a usage request
3. Add the instrument calendar
4. Make reservations as usual
Notes
1. The menu “Research Equipment (Genetic Analysis Div./Med)” will be added individually by the administrator for each user. Therefore, the timing of its appearance may vary depending on the user. As we are handling this sequentially, we kindly ask that you refrain from contacting us unless urgent, and wait until the menu appears.
2. For users who are not currently using the instruments/equipment in Room 401a, this menu will not be added. Users who only use instruments in Med-Pharm Collaboration Building (Rooms 504 and 306) are not affected by this change.
3. Users who newly begin using the instruments/equipment in Room 401a on or after October 1 will need to submit a separate request to change their iSAL registration.
