Usage Flow
The supports provided by iSAL are divided into two categories: use of shared research equipment and use of services. All users are required to register iSAL in order to use any of the supports. The usage fee is calculated based on the quantity of support used. The usage fee balance is settled from the registered funds (refer to the figure below). In iSAL, these services are managed using the dedicated system called “KUMaCo“.
Available supports are listed in Equipment and Services.
Payment Flow
After the usage fees are compiled in iSAL office using KUMaCo, they are settled from the budget that is registered to iSAL in advance. For details, please check the documents provided below.

iSAL Office
“iSAL office” has been created in the office of the Medical Research Support Center, and it manages KUMaCo operations, registration of iSAL, and settle support usage fee. We aim to reduce the burden on users and supporters by centralizing the administrative processes.
