Title | Oxford Nanopore technology update
Lecturer |
・Dr. Lakmal Jayasinghe, SVP – R&D Biologics
・Dr. Libby Snell, Director – RNA and cDNA Sample Technology
Abstract |
Oxford Nanopore devices sequence DNA and RNA directly, capturing fragments of any length, from short to ultra-long, to provide a truly comprehensive picture of the genome, including methylation information.
In this seminar, Dr. Lakmal Jayasinghe, the head of R&D Biologics of Oxford Nanopore Technologies will present the latest updates on our technology, including improved basecalling accuracy achieved by incorporating transformer AI architecture into the basecaller, methylation calling, and direct RNA sequencing. He will also touch on other exciting updates such as telomere-to-telomere sequencing and protein sequencing. In addition, Dr. Libby Snell will provide the update on direct RNA sequencing, which enables unbiased full-length transcriptome analysis and RNA modification detection.
