Changes regarding Nationwide State of Emergency and Policy(Level3) of Graduate school of Medicine, Kyoto University.

Dear Users of Medical Research Support Center,

Thank you for using our services as ever.

Medical Research Support Center (hereafter MRSC) services has been changed with aligning “Policy of Graduate School of Medicine on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)” issued by Dean of Graduate school of Medicine at 8:16pm JST April 17.

Summary is as following and it is effective between April 20 and May 6.
Information will be updated for May 7 and after with aligning policy of Graduate School of Medicine at that time

• MRSC continues to support for any inquiries (KUMaCo registration, Instruments, Consultation of preliminary using and so on) via email and web meeting, without face to face communication – it means to avoid possibilities of COVID-19 infection. If you need to contact us, please use email, not phone call.
• MRSC makes limitation for instruments using, new reservation is not acceptable between April 20 – May 6.
• Please cancel your existence reservation between Apr 20 and May 6 if you can postpone your experiments.
• Ethanol is in every room and hand-soap is at the sink. Please utilize them when you are at MRSC.
• In case whole facilities (Building of Graduate School of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences) will be determined as restricted area, MRSC could not release the lock. Please follow the policy of facilities and safety division.
• Please refer below in case you have already reserved on KUMaCo on April 27, 28, 30 and May 1.
1. MRSC will cancel all reservation except cell-sorter and cell-analyzer at the end of business time on Apr 20.
2. MRSC will contact each requester of Cell-sorter and Cell-analyzer. MRSC will decide that requester can use them or not with discussing sample appearance with requester.
• MRSC does not accept new samples since contract services has been closed. (Division for DNA sequencing and Bioinformatics, Division for Mass Spectrometry and Division for Medicinal Chemistry)
• In case your research is approved as top priority by head of each research field and you need to use “Research Instruments” (except Live Imaging), “Division for DNA sequencing and Bioinformatics”, “Division for Mass Spectrometry” and “Division for Medicinal Chemistry” please submit request via email with attached request form as below. MRSC review it and inform you later.
